Last Solo Place

The correct answer to our competition question was:
6705 'Puffer entrants between 2006 and 2017

Neil Campbell, with his guess of 6501

Neil has some previous form at the 'Puffer, competing in a mixed pair in 2016 and coming 2nd in that category and 9th overall in the pairs overall. He's now panic training to make sure he doesn't let us down, but we've got confidence in him!

This is it...your chance to win a free solo place at the 2018 Strathpuffer 24hr MTB Race. You know, the category that sold out in about 4 mins when the entries opened?? Well, we've got friends in high places, and they have kindly given us one last solo place for this year's race, and we're giving it away!

So, what do you get as well as the free place? We thought we'd up the ante a little bit and make it really worth it. On top of the free place, you'll get:

  • Free mechanical support during the event. You will still have to pay for any parts, but you won't pay any labour.
  • Free riding gear from some of our brand partners. We're still chatting to them to see what we can sort out, but already we've got some great kit lined up including a pair of MT500 waterproof shorts from Endura
  • A awesome deal on a new bike! Yup, you can get one new bike from any of our brands (provided it is available) at the cheapest we can possibly sell it for!
Sounds good eh?? So, how do you win all this? Simple...answer the question below to be in with a chance. In the event that no-one guesses correctly, the closest answer will win. And the question is:

From 2006 to 2017 inclusive, what is the total number of riders who have taken part in the Strathpuffer 24hr MTB race??

Email with your answer, putting "last solo place" in the subject line. Competition closes midnight Saturday 30th September. To clarify, a team of four counts as four riders, a pair as two riders etc, and it doesn't include entries into the 2018 event. Good luck!

Terms and conditions:
  • Entries are restricted to 1 per person, so guess well!
  • No travel or accommodation is provided as part of this prize. you must make your own way to and from the event and find your own accommodation.
  • No cash alternatives are on offer.
  • The benefits to the winner are non-transferable. If you win and then subsequently pull out of the event, your place will go back into general availability without any of the associated benefits and you may be asked to return the bike and any kit.
  • This competition does not replace the official waiting list, and you could still get in via that route. It goes without saying that if you are on the waiting list and you win, you should contact the event organisers to take your name off the list.
